Rather than depicting astronomical imagery through surface decoration or applied color, each sculpture is created by allowing the inherent physical properties of its materials to generate luminous structures from within the glass itself.

Every piece begins with a foundation chosen for its remarkable optical depth. Through a proprietary sequence of controlled interactions between molten borosilicate and precious metals, microscopic metallic structures are formed and permanently suspended beneath a flawless layer of crystal-clear glass. As light travels through the sculpture, these internal structures reveal expansive clouds, radiant stellar forms, and subtle atmospheric transitions that continuously change with viewing angle.

Unlike traditional decorative techniques, the finest details are not individually drawn or predetermined. They emerge naturally from the interaction of heat, glass, and precious metals under carefully controlled conditions. The artist establishes the framework, but the materials themselves contribute to the final composition, ensuring that every Nebula sculpture possesses visual characteristics that cannot be precisely repeated.

The Chromatic Series explores the expressive potential of color beyond the limitations of traditional glassmaking. Developed through years of experimentation with borosilicate glass, each sculpture is created using a proprietary fabrication process that allows independently developed color compositions to retain their fluid character while becoming part of a unified work. Rather than treating color as decoration applied to glass, the Chromatic Series treats color as the very architecture of the sculpture itself.

Every composition begins as an original color environment created by hand. Through a unique sequence of forming, each composition is transformed into an optical medium that preserves the natural continuity of its internal color relationships. Multiple individually created color environments are then united entirely by hand in the flame, where they become the foundation for the finished vessel. This process allows each color composition to maintain its own distinct visual identity while contributing to a larger, harmonious whole.

Unlike conventional methods of constructing colored glass, which often reveal directional bands, repetitive striping, or visible transitions between applied colors, the Chromatic Series is defined by uninterrupted movement. Expansive swirls travel naturally through the glass, while concentrated regions of color gradually dissolve into neighboring hues without abrupt boundaries.
