The Neuronic Series
The Neuronic Series explores the hidden architecture of living systems. Inspired by neural pathways, fungal mycelium, river networks, and other organic connections, each marble captures the intricate beauty of interconnected forms suspended within solid glass.
Every sculpture is built through a sequence of individually executed layers. As each layer is added, details are added and transparent depths emerge, allowing the eye to travel far beyond the surface into an interior landscape that appears to extend indefinitely. Tiny cellular structures, branching filaments, and luminous atmospheric effects interact with one another, revealing new compositions from every viewing angle.
Unlike conventional decorative glass, the visual complexity of these works is not painted onto the surface. It is constructed throughout the volume of the piece itself. Light passes through successive transparent layers, illuminating structures at different depths and creating optical phenomena that continuously change as the work is rotated.
Precious metals play an important role in the process. Gold and silver are introduced during fabrication, where they become permanently incorporated into the glass. Under different lighting conditions they produce subtle shifts of color—from warm ambers and crimson highlights to violet, electric blue, and iridescent greens—giving each sculpture a dynamic quality that cannot be captured fully in photographs.
Equally important is the controlled formation of microscopic internal structures that refract and scatter light throughout the piece. These features interact with the metallic color layers to create depth, movement, and the illusion of living, evolving networks suspended in three-dimensional space.
No molds, printed graphics, paints, or applied coatings are used. Every visual element is created directly in molten borosilicate glass through hundreds of individual decisions made while the material is at working temperature. Each marble is therefore a singular work, impossible to duplicate exactly.
The result is an object that changes continuously with its environment. Morning sunlight reveals details invisible under gallery lighting; candlelight emphasizes entirely different structures than daylight. Every rotation uncovers another network, another layer, another moment hidden within the glass.
The Neuronic Series invites prolonged observation. What first appears to be a simple sphere gradually reveals an increasingly complex world—one that echoes the extraordinary interconnected patterns found throughout nature itself.
The Nebula Series
The Nebula Series explores the intersection of astronomy, material science, and the optical properties of borosilicate glass. Each composition begins as a transparent cobalt foundation, chosen for its remarkable ability to create the illusion of infinite depth while transmitting light through the finished sculpture.
The celestial landscapes are not painted or engraved. Instead, they emerge through a carefully controlled sequence of interactions between molten borosilicate and precious metals during fabrication. As these materials respond to heat, atmosphere, and one another, they produce luminous gradients, radiant stellar forms, and expansive cloud-like structures whose finest details cannot be fully predetermined.
The precious metals play a role far beyond simple coloration. At microscopic scales, they become the primary optical medium, creating subtle shifts in hue, luminosity, and apparent depth that evolve continuously as the sculpture is viewed from different angles. The finished image is then permanently suspended beneath a crystal-clear layer of borosilicate, transforming delicate metallic structures into luminous forms that appear to occupy three-dimensional space.
The choice of gold and silver is both artistic and symbolic. These elements—formed through some of the most energetic events in the universe—become the very materials from which the celestial imagery is created. In this way, the work is connected not only visually, but materially, to the cosmic phenomena that inspired it.

The Chromatic Series begins with individually selected borosilicate colors that are combined by hand while molten, creating original color fields that exist only for that individual sculpture. Rather than relying on commercially produced colored tubing or layered applications of color, each composition originates as a single hand-developed mass whose internal relationships evolve naturally during fabrication.
A proprietary forming process transforms this hand-mixed material into a seamless optical core while preserving the fluid continuity of the original color field. Rather than producing directional bands or repeating linear patterns, the process allows color to flow as uninterrupted volumes, forming expansive swirls, soft transitions, and organic structures that extend throughout the entire piece.
The resulting compositions possess a painterly quality that cannot be achieved through conventional methods of building colored tubing. Individual colors diffuse into one another without distinct boundary lines, allowing regions of concentrated color to gradually dissolve into neighboring hues while maintaining exceptional clarity and depth.
The completed color core is permanently encapsulated within crystal-clear borosilicate, where the transparency of the surrounding glass magnifies the internal composition and allows light to reveal new relationships from every viewing angle. The finished sculpture becomes less a collection of separate colors than a continuous landscape of shifting optical depth.
