Layers of transparent emerald and cobalt create a sense of immense depth, while delicate streams of white drift across the vessel like illuminated gas moving through an interstellar cloud. Flecks of gold and silver interact with the surrounding glass, producing shifting points of light that appear and disappear as the vessel is turned beneath changing illumination.
The result is never static. During the day the vessel presents cool blues and deep greens; under warmer light, hidden iridescent hues emerge, giving the impression of distant stars suspended within a glowing nebula.
Each surface acts as a lens, compressing and expanding the internal landscape so that every viewing angle reveals a different composition. Looking through the mouth of the vessel, concentric rings draw the eye into a seemingly endless interior, emphasizing the illusion of depth created by the layered construction.
No molds are used. Every vessel is individually handblown in the flame and exists as a one-of-one work.
