The composition is intentionally restrained. Without ornament or pattern, the work relies on proportion, contrast, and the remarkable optical depth of handblown borosilicate glass. The cobalt shifts from velvety saturation to radiant translucence as light passes through the vessel, while the central white field glows from within, appearing almost weightless between the surrounding planes of blue.
